Dealing with Injury

Injury is more often than not an integral part of sport participation at all levels. Its severity can range from a couple days off play to career ending.

There are many ways that an athlete can be pushed mentally and physically resulting in an increased susceptibility to various types of injuries, through burnout, overtraining and staleness.

The physical and psychological effects that an injury can have on an athlete is important for all members of the support team and for you the athlete to recognize, be aware of, and understand.
